Face to Face & Online Drop In Support Sessions
We understand that reaching out for support can often feel daunting, which is why we have thoughtfully created the option for you to attend either an in-person support group or join an online session from the comfort of your home (or both!). This flexibility is designed to cater to your individual needs and circumstances. We aim to host a guest speaker once a month, covering a range of helpful topics aimed at empowering you to live well with chronic illness. Our goal is to provide valuable insights and inspiration as we navigate this journey together.

Our Face to Face
Support Session
Our support group plays a crucial role for individuals coping with chronic illness, providing a safe haven where shared experiences foster understanding and empathy. Within these gatherings, attendees find companionship and encouragement, breaking the isolation that often accompanies their journeys. The collective wisdom and support of peers can lead to improved mental wellbeing, greater resilience, and enhanced coping strategies. We invite you to join us at our next meeting, where you can connect with others who truly understand what you’re going through.
Details of our upcoming meetings can be found on our social media pages, or feel free to email us! We would love to have you and support each other through this journey.

Feedback from our wonderful members...
"I'm happy to have a safe space to meet with like minded people (who understand chronic illness), to talk to about general things and things specific to chronic illness."
"I’ve realised a lot of things I put myself down about (eg. not being able to do what others can, being overly forgetful, missing outings with friends etc.) is all part of my condition and not my fault. Just talking to people who understand has gone a really long way to ease a lot of anxieties about myself as a person."
"Good to meet and talk to others, who understand and can advise on things to try when I need help."
"Less isolation, meaningful activity. Sense of security & confidence as its built into my routine."
Our groups are usually ran as informal drop-in sessions so you can come and go as you please or as your conditions allow.
We will sometimes have guest speakers to talk about specialist topics such as nutrition, mental health and employment which will be advertised in advance.
We also have an anonymous questions and suggestions box which we go through as a group near the end of the sessions if you'd rather ask for advice that way. Our priority is for you to feel safe and comfortable.
Feel free to bring along a carer, friend or assistance dog.
